The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency, Hon. Sarafa Olaoniye, has felicitated with his constituents and Nigerians at large as the country celebrates its 66th Independence anniversary.
This is contained in a statement signed by his Media Assistant, Taoreed Adeniran. Olaoniye said October 1st remains a historic day in the annals of Nigeria, a day that symbolises freedom, sacrifice and the collective resolve of our founding fathers to build a free and prosperous nation.

He congratulated the good people of Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency, comprising Igbo-Ora, Idere, Ayete, Tapa and Igangan, for witnessing another Independence celebration.
According to Olaoniye, the people of Ibarapa have remained loyal, hardworking and patriotic despite the economic and security challenges facing the nation.
He noted that at 66, Nigeria has come a long way, with its journey marked by highs and lows, yet remained united as one indivisible entity.
The House of Representatives hopeful stated that the labour of our heroes past, including and not limited to Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir Ahmadu Bello and Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, shall never be in vain.
Olaoniye said what Nigeria needs at this critical stage is unity of purpose, love for one another and commitment from both leaders and followers to build the nation of our dreams.
He stressed that nation building is a collective task and all Nigerians must be ready to contribute to its growth and development.
On the situation in Ibarapa, Olaoniye said the constituency is blessed with great potentials in agriculture, commerce and human resources, which must be properly harnessed for development.
He assured his constituents that if given the mandate in the January 16th, 2027 National Assembly election, he will provide quality and people-oriented representation in Abuja.
Olaoniye said his focus will be on youth empowerment, support for farmers, improved educational facilities, quality healthcare and attraction of federal projects to the constituency.
Olaoniye urged the youths not to lose hope in the country, but to remain steadfast, focused and to shun all forms of vices that could jeopardise their future.
The APC chieftain also called on leaders at all levels to use the occasion of the 66th Independence anniversary to reflect on how to serve the people better.
He further prayed for peace, security and economic stability in Nigeria and for continued harmony among all communities in Ibarapa land.
Olaoniye wished his constituents and all Nigerians a happy and peaceful 66th Independence celebration, with an assurance that a better and greater Nigeria is achievable.
