Barr. Akeem Adedeji Agbaje, frontline gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State for the 2027 election, has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim Ummah across Oyo State and beyond on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.
In a goodwill message, Agbaje described the sacred celebration as a period of gratitude to Almighty Allah for His countless mercies, blessings, and preservation upon individuals, families, and the nation as a whole.
He noted that Eid-el-Kabir remains one of the most significant festivals in Islam, symbolising obedience, sacrifice, devotion, faith, and selflessness, virtues which he said should continue to guide the conduct of citizens in their daily lives and relationships with one another.
“Eid-el-Kabir is a season that reminds us of the importance of sacrifice, devotion, humility, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah. It is also a time for gratitude for His endless mercies upon us as individuals and as a nation.”
The APC chieftain urged Muslims and Nigerians generally to use the opportunity of the celebration to pray for peace, unity, stability, and progress in Oyo State and the country at large, while also extending love and support to the less privileged in society.
Barr Akeem Agbaje further encouraged citizens to embrace tolerance, compassion, and peaceful coexistence, stressing the need for collective efforts toward building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous society.
“I pray that Almighty Allah accepts our acts of worship and sacrifices, blesses our homes with peace and abundance, and grants Oyo State and our nation greater stability, growth, and prosperity. Eid Mubarak to the Muslim Ummah in Oyo State and beyond.”
