The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo state, Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli, has charged the publicity secretaries of the Party at all levels to increase their efforts in sensitizing the public about the impressive performance of the Tinubu administration as well as the prospects of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Alli made the remark today at his Campaign Office in Mokola, Ibadan while playing host to a team of APC spokespersons at the state and local government council levels who paid a solidarity visit to him. The Party Image Makers were led by State Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, and the Assistant State Publicity Secretary, Matthew Fafunmi.

The deputy governorship candidate, Hon. Adesoji Adedeji, who spoke on behalf of Sen. Alli disclosed that an average Nigeria would be truthful enough to appreciate President Bola Tinubu for averting the socio-economic and political danger which was coming the way of Nigeria prior to the time the present administration came on board would agree with the notion that Tinubu was the best thing to have happened to the country since 1960.

“Some individuals and a section of the media may choose to downplay the achievements of President in all the key sectors of the economy for reasons best known to them but it is inexcusable for you (APC Publicists) to toe that line. Therefore, now is the time for you to hit the street and sell the gospel Tinubu’s National Rebirth to all and sundry. We are in the campaign period and we should not allow the desperados and unscrupulous elements in the society to mislead the populace.” Alli added.

Speaking in the same vein; the director-general for the BSA Campaign Council, Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe, stated that the comprehensive document containing program of policy and action with which Sen. Alli would transform the state, if given the mandate to govern from May 29, 2027, would be unveiled and made public very soon “as it is tagged Oyo AHEAD Pact which is aimed at restoring the lost glory of the Pacesetters State.

“Meanwhile, we recognize you (APC spokespersons) as passionate Party members and dependable party officials who manage and disseminate information among the larger population of party members as well as between the party and the general public. And to demonstrate the importance attached to you as Progressive image makers, we are poised to work with the leadership of the APC in the state to strengthen the media and communication departments ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“Meanwhile, we want to charge the Local Government Publicity Secretaries emulate the State Publicity Secretary and to rise to the occasion by being more productive at the grassroots level. You have to ensure that relevant information about the Party, its leadership, programmes, activities and achievements is effectively communicated to the grassroots, while projecting a positive and credible image of the APC at all times.” He added.

The list of the Publicists who were present at the meeting included; Hamzat Adesina (Egbeda), Olatilu (Ido), Tajudeen Alomo (Oorelope), Mustapha Galibu (Oyo East), Abosede Olaomo (Ibadan North East), Anthony Adesanya (Afijio), Job Aderounmu (Atisbo), Babatunde Lawal (Ibadan North West), Oluremi Olaniyan (Surulere), Afeez Ibrahim (Olorunsogo), Adebayo Adeyemi (Oyo West), Julius Ajayi (Itesiwaju), Oke Elizabeth (Ogbomoso North), Adegoke Babatunde (Iwajowa), Mumini Oladokun (Ona-Ara), Azeez Oyedokun (Ogbomoso South), Babatunde Atanda (Ogo-Oluwa), Balogun Tajudeen (Ibadan South East), Bamidele Ezekiel ((Oriire), Rasheed Olabimisi (Ibarapa East), Bolade Oyekan (Ibadan North), Taiwo Tijani (Lagelu), Akeem Oke (Ibarapa North), Mohammed Aponmade (Akinyele), Amzat Kehinde (Saki West), Adeyemo Akindele (Ibarapa Central), Saheed Lawal (Oluyole), Adedayo Ogboriga (Atiba), Rasak Sulaimon (Irepo), Wasiu Gbolagade (Iseyin), Rasheed Busari (Kajola) and Joseph Ehinlaye (Ibadan South West)
