Senator Buhari Abdulfatai Omotayo on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, participated in the maiden matriculation ceremony of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO), marking a significant milestone in the institution’s academic journey.
The event which also featured the commissioning of the FUNATO Medical Centre, a key healthcare facility facilitated by the Senator to serve the university community and its environs.

FUNATO, alongside its medical centre, is among the landmark projects credited to Senator Buhari, reflecting his commitment to advancing education and healthcare infrastructure in Oyo North Senatorial District.
Prior to the establishment of the university, the lawmaker had facilitated the development of five modern healthcare centres strategically located across Oyo North, aimed at improving access to quality medical services for residents.
Following the matriculation ceremony, Senator Buhari formally commissioned the FUNATO Medical Centre, reiterating his dedication to sustainable development and community welfare.
Stakeholders and general public at the event commended the Senator’s efforts, describing the projects as impactful interventions that will contribute to human capital development and improved healthcare delivery in the geopolitical zone of the state.
