…2027 Ibarapa Federal Lawmaker Hopeful Donates N500,000 to OYSCATECH, Represented by Mr. Femi Fatunbi
The Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, OYSCATECH, Igboora, on Tuesday, 28th July, 2026 conferred its prestigious Award of Excellence in Philanthropism and Community Development on Sarafa Olaoniye.
The OYSCATECH award was presented during the opening ceremony of the institution’s 4th Biennial Conference held at the College campus in Igboora.
The conference had as its theme, “Integrating Science, Technology and Management for Resilient and Sustainable Modern Agricultural Practice.”
Olaoniye, a leading grassroots mobiliser and 2027 federal lawmaker hopeful for Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North Federal Constituency at the 11th National Assembly, was represented by Mr. Femi Fatunbi.
In his remarks, Mr. Fatunbi announced a donation of N500,000 on behalf of Olaoniye to support the College’s programmes in agricultural research, innovation and youth empowerment.
The College, in its citation, recognised Olaoniye for his outstanding contributions to community development, philanthropy and the promotion of science and technology-driven agriculture in Ibarapa land and Oyo State.
Mr. Fatunbi described the award as a call to greater service, noting that Olaoniye remains committed to people-oriented leadership and sustainable development through education and agriculture.
The honour comes as stakeholders across Ibarapa continue to rally support for Olaoniye’s aspiration to provide quality and effective representation at the 11th Assembly come 2027.
