The Chief Executive Officer of the ARA Foundation, Princess Aderonke Rahmat Adedoja, has congratulated the schoolchildren, teachers, and the principal who were recently rescued after 56 harrowing days in captivity. Their safe return brings a profound sense of relief and renewed hope not only to their families but to the entire nation.
In her goodwill message, Princess Adedoja commended the resolute leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde for their unwavering commitment to national security.
She further applauded the nation’s security agencies—including the military, the Department of State Services, and the Nigeria Police Force—for their coordinated, intelligence-led operations. These efforts were pivotal in securing the release of the victims from their captors in the Old Oyo National Park and ensuring the apprehension of several perpetrators.
“This successful rescue operation, following the tragic abduction on May 15, 2026, in the Ahoro-Esiele and Yawota communities of Oriire Local Government, underscores the critical importance of intelligence-driven strategies,” Princess Adedoja stated.
“I express my profound gratitude to Almighty God for preserving the lives of our precious children and their dedicated educators and reuniting them with their loved ones.”
Amidst this celebration, Princess Adedoja paid a poignant and solemn tribute to the late Mr. Michael Oyedokun, the mathematics teacher who was gruesomely murdered by the kidnappers during their ordeal.
She also acknowledged the life of the assistant headmaster, Mr. Joel Adesiyan, who lost his life during the initial attack. She extended her heartfelt condolences to their families, colleagues, and the entire educational community, praying that God grants them the strength and fortitude to bear these irreparable losses.
