“It’s Victory for the People” — Buhari Commends Tinubu, Makinde, Security Agencies Over Release of Oriire Victims

Oyo North Senatorial District lawmaker, Sen. AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari has thanked President Bola Tinubu over his decisive directives that ensured the safed release of the abducted teachers and pupils of Esi-Ele in Oriire Local Government of Oyo State from bandits.

Buhari who expressed gratitude to Allah described their release as a victory for the people of Oyo North and Nigeria as a whole. I’m his press statement as captured via his official Facebook page, Buhari further thanks the government of Oyo State for his cooperation and collaboration in ensuring the safe release of these Oriire-44 and also give kudos to the gallant security agencies who tirelessly work days and nights in ensuring that these people are safely released.

I want to on behalf of the good people of Oyo North particularly Oriire local government thank President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his decisive leadership and prompt directives that ensured no stone was left unturned in securing the release of our children and their teachers.

I express my profound relief and gratitude following the release of the Oriire abductees. Their freedom is a victory for the people and for Nigeria’s security architecture. The successful release of the Oriire-46 was made possible by the steadfast dedication and coordinated efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Seyi Makinde, working in collaboration with Nigeria’s security agencies.

I want to specifically laud the Nigerian Army, DSS and the Nigeria Police Force for their bravery, professionalism and sacrifice. The officers on the ground displayed patriotism and resilience. Their commitment in the bush, on the highways, and in intelligence gathering led to this successful outcome.

I equally rejoice with the families of the victims, noting that the period of uncertainty was painful for the entire senatorial district, Oyo State and Nigeria at large. Please, remain strong and continue to support one another as the victims begin their recovery process. This is not the end. The victims will receive further government attention, medical support and psychosocial care to help them fully reintegrate into the society.

Let me use this opportunity to call on residents of Oyo North to remain vigilant and to continue to cooperate with security agencies. Once again, i want to affirm my commitment to working with the federal and state governments to strengthen security and ensure that such incidents do not reoccur in any part of the district.
