Former Oyo State SDP governorship aspirant, Oloye Saheed Oladele, has joined the African Action Congress (AAC) as he continues his bid to contest the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.
Oladele, who previously belonged to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and later the Social Democratic Party (SDP), is expected to fly the AAC governorship ticket in the 2027 election alongside his chosen deputy governorship candidate, Mrs. Damola Jaye.
Saheed Oladele recently resigned from the SDP amid a dispute over the party’s governorship nomination process. Reports at the time said he had challenged the party’s submission of another candidate’s name to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Reports indicate that the names of Oladele and his proposed running mate have been uploaded to the INEC portal for the 2027 general elections.
