The National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANTS), Oyo state chapter, has condemned the actions of Mrs Odunayo Danjuma, a former leader of the association.
NANTS described her allegations of hijacking the association as baseless and frivolous, stating that her time as leader has ended, but she doesn’t want to grapple with the stark reality for obvious reasons.
The association advised Mrs Danjuma to wean herself away from the “sycophantic campaign” and stop deluding herself henceforth as NANTS leader.
They emphasized that every organization has rules guiding tenure of office, discipline, and general constitution and that a person of integrity would not try to pervert these rules for the sake of any vested interest.
NANTS reiterated that the only recognized National Association of Nigerian Traders, Oyo state chapter, is under the leadership of Princess Aderonke Rahmat Adedoja and Alhaji Usman as her deputy.
The association, therefore, called on constituted authorities and other trader groups to distance themselves from Mrs Danjuma’s frivolous activities, labelling her and her associates as “rabble-rousers.”

We appreciate the efforts of Hon. Adebisi Adeniyi, the Commissioner for Trade, Investment, Industry, and Cooperative, in promoting the welfare and interests of traders and artisans, men and women in Oyo State.
We also commend His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde for his vision and leadership in making the association swim afloat.
Emphasising that Governor Seyi Makinde is a forward-looking leader who will not be swayed by any appeal to emotions.
The association shares this moment of grief over the recent tragic events, which reportedly claimed many lives in the State Capital and prayed to God to prevent a recurrence.
