Senator Buhari’s skill acquisition programs have had a significant impact on the lives of Oyo North constituents, with over 15,000 people benefiting from these initiatives, gaining practical skills in areas like agriculture, ICT, and entrepreneurship, and leading to improved livelihoods, increased household incomes, and enhanced economic capacity for women and youths in the district.
BAF TRAINING AND SKILL ACQUISITION PROGRAMMES.
1. Training of over 10,000 women and youths in various skill acquisition programme across the senatorial district by smedan. beneficiaries were given startup capital and certificate – october 2015.
2. Training of 150 youths in skill acquisition by national directorate of employment (nde). beneficiaries were given startup capital and certificate – january 2016.
3. Training of 300 youths in small scale farming in three (3) locations/districts. beneficiaries were given seedlings, spraying machines and cash (Iseyin, Oorelope & Ogbomoso South of Oyo North Senatorial District) and certificate – December 2016.
4. Training of 250 unemployed youths on human capacity development and capacity building. beneficiaries were given honorarium – May 2017.
5. Human capacity development and capacity building on ground sourcing and online marketing for 100 unemployed youths in Oyo North. beneficiaries were given honorarium – March 2018.
6. Value chain capacity building on aquaculture production and post-harvest technology for 100 women in Oyo North Senatorial District. beneficiaries were given starter packs and honorarium – November 2018.
7. Training of 150 women on aquaculture production and post fish harvest technology in Oyo North Senatorial District. beneficiaries were given starter packs and honorarium – January 2019.
8. Training of 100 peasant farmers in Oyo North Senatorial District on mechanised farming by NDE. beneficiaries were given complete tools, android tablets, honorarium and certificate – January 2019.
9. Skills acquisition training on cake and soap making for 150 women in Oyo North Senatorial District by nde. beneficiaries were given starter packs and honorarium – May 2019.

15. Consultancy on training and supply of employment material for 100 youths and women of Oyo North on training and supply of empowerment materials. beneficiaries were given starter packs, honorarium and certificate – January 2020.
16. Training of 150 youths and women of Oyo North Senatorial District on entrepreneurship and health management by NDE. beneficiaries were given honorarium and certificate – February 2020.

Training of 500 women of Oyo North Senatorial District on cosmetology. the training was done in 3 locations (Ogbomoso North, ATISBO and Kajola Local Governments). after the training, beneficiaries were given cosmetology box with products, ₦20,000 training allowance, ₦3,000 daily allowance for 3 days and certificate.

Training of 200 oyo north youths on mechanized farming by National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Itesiwaju Local Government. after the training, the beneficiaries were given knapsack sprayer, seedlings, herbicide, seed protector, ₦20,000 training allowance, ₦3,000 daily allowance for 3 days and certificate.

Training of 200 Oyo North youths on mechanized farming by national directorate of employment (NDE) in Irepo Local Government (Kisi). after the training, the beneficiaries were given knapsack sprayers, seedlings, herbicide, seed protector, ₦20,000 training allowance, ₦3,000 daily allowance for 3 days and certificate.
29. Training of 300 youths of Oyo North Senatorial District on modern building technique (tiling work) by National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in two locations (Ogbomoso South & Olorunsogo). after the training, the beneficiaries were given working tools (trowel), ₦20,000 training allowance, ₦3,000 daily allowance for 3 days and certificate..
30. BAF farmers empowerment (January 2021 series). 300 beneficiaries were given 5 bags of fertilizer, 2 backpack sprayers, 1 pack of insecticides/herbicides with cash each at Iganna, Iwajowa Local Government.
31. BAF support for the physically challenged (2021 edition). 300 physically challenged persons were supported with wheelchairs and cash at Ago-Are, ATISBO Local Government.
32. 260 Oyo North Senatorial District youths nominated for national youth volunteer programme of the federal ministry of water resources training – September 2021.
33. Training of 200 youths in Oyo North on online presence for young entrepreneurs organised by nde. beneficiaries were given certificate and ₦50,000 each – January 2022.
