Akinola Kazeem, a House of Representatives aspirant for Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has pledged to secure sustainable opportunities for young people in the constituency through strategic access and collaborations to positions in government ministries, parastatals, departments, and agencies.
Akinola said the commitment is rooted through his practical understanding of how public institutions function, noting that meaningful youth inclusion must go beyond rhetoric to deliberate placement, mentorship, and policy-backed engagement within Nigeria system.
The Ibadan born businessman and politician explained that his approach will focus on building structured pathways that prepare qualified youths for opportunities in public service, including capacity development, guidance on recruitment processes, and sustained advocacy for fair representation at the federal level.
According to him, leveraging legislative tools such as motions, constituency engagements, and oversight functions will be critical in ensuring that ministries and agencies reflect equitable participation, for competent youths from deserved and underserved communities.
The Reps aspirant, Akinola, added that his vision is to institutionalise opportunity by building a template that will sustain the system, ensuring that access to government roles is not left to chance but driven by merit, preparedness, and consistent representation, thereby creating a pipeline of professionals in formal and informal groups who can contribute meaningfully to national development.
