Engr. Alamu Akeem Adelani, popularly known as IJALA, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Member, Federal House of Representatives, representing Ayiwola Federal Constituency of Osun State.
The formal declaration was made during a high-level meeting attended by party leaders, stakeholders, executives, community leaders, youths, women groups, professionals, artisans, farmers, and supporters from Iwo, Ayedire, and Ola-Oluwa Local Government Areas.
Addressing party faithful and constituents, Engr. Adelani described Ayiwola Federal Constituency as a constituency blessed with hardworking, resilient, and progressive-minded people who deserve effective representation capable of attracting sustainable development and improving the standard of living across the constituency.
According to him, his decision to join the race was borne out of a deep sense of responsibility, commitment to public service, and a genuine desire to provide purposeful leadership anchored on competence, accessibility, accountability, and innovation.

Engr. Adelani, a certified engineer and technology expert, holds professional qualifications including COREN, MNSE, CCNA, and a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of ICT at Olabisi Onabanjo University, where he has distinguished himself through effective service delivery, project management, institutional development, and transparent leadership.
He stated that his years of professional experience in engineering, administration, digital technology, and public sector management have equipped him with the capacity required to effectively represent the interests of the people at the National Assembly.

“I am not coming with mere promises,” he said. “I am coming with practical experience, verifiable competence, and a clear understanding of the challenges facing our people. Representation must go beyond speeches and political appearances. It must bring visible development, accessibility, and measurable impact to the lives of the people.” Ijala stated.

He acknowledged the roles played by the late Alhaji Abdul-Lateef Katayeyanjue, Hon. Femi Kehinde, Hon. George Jolaoye, Hon. Abdul-Gafar Amere, and Hon. Yinusa Amobi, noting that their efforts laid important foundations for progress within the constituency.
Engr. Adelani assured constituents that his administration would build upon these achievements while introducing modern, technology-driven, and people-oriented initiatives capable of repositioning the constituency for greater development.

Unveiling his developmental blueprint for the constituency, Engr. Adelani highlighted key areas that would form the focus of his representation if elected into office.

He promised to establish a constituency-wide digital engagement platform that would allow constituents across Iwo, Ayedire, and Ola-Oluwa to monitor constituency projects, communicate directly with their representative, submit complaints, receive updates, and participate actively in governance processes.

Youth Empowerment and Agricultural Advancement
The House of Representatives hopeful also pledged to modernize agricultural support programmes through technology-enabled cooperative systems, digital market access, modern farming support initiatives, and youth-centered empowerment programmes aimed at improving productivity and economic opportunities.
He emphasized that empowering young people and supporting farmers remain critical to achieving economic stability and sustainable growth across the constituency.
