APC’s Ibadan North House of Representatives aspirant, Dr. Olamide Junaid, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin Ige I, who joined his ancestors in the early hours of Monday.
Joining eminent sons and daughters of Ibadanland in mourning the revered monarch, Dr. Olamide described his death as a profound loss to the people of Ibadanland and beyond.
“This is indeed a saddening moment for all of us,” she said. “Just days ago, we were celebrating Kabiyesi’s 90th birthday, and preparations were underway to mark his first coronation anniversary as the Olubadan of Ibadanland.”
