A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and House of Representatives aspirant for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Dr. Olamide Junaid, has extended warm felicitations to the good people of Ibadan North and Nigerians at large on the occasion of the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In a statement issued from her media office in Ibadan, Dr. Junaid urged Muslim faithful and members of the wider society to embrace the deeper meaning of the Eid-el-Kabir rites — which centre on love, sacrifice, piety, and brotherhood — as instructed by Almighty Allah.
She said, “Eid-el-Kabir, popularly known as Ileya in our part of the world, is unique and highly symbolic across the globe. It reminds us of the importance of sacrifice and the need to strengthen our faith in Allah.”
“Allah is not in need of the sacrificial ram itself, but rather the sincerity, humility, and devotion behind the act. There are etiquettes and spiritual guidelines for celebrating Eid-el-Kabir, and it is important we observe them to fully reap the divine blessings associated with the festival,” she added.
“It is equally important for us to continue praying for the prosperity of the nation. Let’s use the good spirit of the season to pray for Nigeria once again.”
In line with her tradition of community service and humanitarian outreach, Dr. Junaid has reached out to party leaders, members, stakeholders, and the wider public in Ibadan North Federal Constituency, distributing rams, bags of rice, cash gifts, and other festive items to support families during the celebration.
She concluded with prayers: “May we always have reasons to celebrate together in good health, peace, and prosperity. Eid-el-Kabir Mubarak!”
