Sarafa Olaoniye has emerged as the All Progressives Congress candidate for Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general election.
Olaoniye polled the highest votes in the party’s direct primary held on May 16, 2026, according to a statement issued by his Media Aide, Taoreed Adeniran.
The statement said Olaoniye thanked party leaders and members across the two local government areas for their support and confidence in his candidacy.
He described the outcome as a call to service and pledged to run an inclusive campaign that would unite all stakeholders. He urged party members to set aside differences and work for the collective success of the APC in the constituency.
“My victory is for every member of this party and every resident of Ibarapa Central and North. We will build a representation that listens, responds, and delivers,” he said.
