APC — Concerned Stakeholders and leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State have distanced themselves from what they described as inflammatory and unauthorized publications circulating across media and social platforms under the guise of “Concerned Stakeholders and Leaders” of the party.
In a statement made available to journalists, the party leaders said the publications were the handiwork of unknown individuals or groups and did not reflect their position, values or collective objectives as loyal members of the APC.
The stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to the unity, progress and electoral success of the party in Oyo State and across the country, urging members and supporters not to be distracted by statements capable of creating unnecessary tension within the fold.
They also congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as the APC’s presidential flagbearer for the 2027 general election, describing his victory at the primary as a reflection of confidence in his leadership and commitment to national development.
According to the stakeholders, Tinubu’s resilience and leadership continue to inspire party faithful nationwide, adding that members in Oyo State should remain calm, focused and united as the party prepares for the next electoral cycle.
The group further urged party members to disregard manipulated figures and speculative reports being circulated in connection with the recently concluded governorship primaries in Oyo State.
While acknowledging that democratic contests often come with concerns, they cautioned against comments and actions capable of deepening division within the party.
They also called on relevant party authorities to release the authentic and comprehensive results of all APC primaries conducted in Oyo State, noting that such transparency had become necessary in the interest of fairness and internal democracy.
Reaffirming their loyalty to the party, the stakeholders expressed confidence that a united, disciplined and focused APC would be well-positioned to secure victory at all levels in the 2027 general elections and continue delivering purposeful leadership to Nigerians.
