A frontline aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Ishaq Morufat Ajibola, has formally declared her intention to contest the Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ajibola, popularly known as “Bibire Ko Se Fowora,” made the declaration at a well-attended event held at St. Cyprian Primary School, Padi, Ibadan, drawing a large turnout of party stakeholders, leaders, and supporters from across the constituency.

The declaration ceremony attracted key figures within the APC structure, including the Oyo South Senatorial Chairman, Hon. Mojeed Delesolu; State Executive member, Hon. Alaga Muse; Ibadan North East party leader, Prince Gbade Lana; Hon. Kehinde Oloya; Hon. Nahim Ladi Oluokun; Hon. Ogundiwin; Prince Segun Ayedun; and the Ibadan North East APC Chairman, Alhaji Asimiyu Elewure, among others.

Also present were local government executives, ward chairmen, youth and women leaders, and members of the Bibire Movement Support Group.
A native of Temidire Ward 06 in Ibadan North East Local Government, Morufat Ajibola used the platform to unveil a policy direction anchored on equity, inclusiveness, and sustainable representation and development. She stressed the need for fair representation across the two local governments that make up the constituency, noting that Ibadan North East must regain its voice after what she described as years of marginalisation.

“The constituency belongs to both Ibadan North East and Ibadan South East. Under my leadership, no part will be sidelined,” she said.
Ajibola further articulated her commitment to people-centered leadership, hinging her philosophy on her popular slogan, “Bibire Ko Se Fowora.” She pledged to uphold integrity in public office, facilitate federal presence in the constituency, and ensure that democratic dividends are felt at the grassroots, particularly in markets, schools, and underserved communities.
She promised targeted interventions for youths and women through job creation initiatives, support for small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs), and capacity-building programmes designed to stimulate local enterprise.

Emphasising party unity, Ajibola assured that she would work collaboratively with APC leaders and stakeholders to consolidate the party’s strength and secure victory in the 2027 elections.
The declaration has stirred reactions within political circles in Ibadan, with supporters describing her entry into the race as a significant move that could reshape representation in the constituency.
The statement announcing her declaration was jointly signed by the Director-General of the Bibire Movement, Hon. Ogunlakin, and the Media Team Head, Akanni Muhammed.
