The Oyo State Directorate of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) on Thursday, 13th of March, at the agency’s conference hall, Agodi ibadan organised a Ramadan lecture and a round of National Prayers for the agency, the public office holders , National security and the citizens at large.
The take-home message of the lecture was for the people to love one another and be their brothers’ keepers and also exhibit noble qualities that impact positively on one another, especially when they are in need.
Earlier in her welcome address, Oyo State Director of NOA, Dr Olukemi Afolayan reiterated that the program was organised in accordance with the National value charter campaign of the Agency which represents a mutual agreement between the government and citizens.

She stressed that if we could genuinely love one another and show an ethics of care, the nation would be better for it.

Dr. Adams Olufemi Akewula during the soul – stirring Ramadan lecture presentation on the theme:” Duty of Care to Fellow Humans in Time of Need – The Islamic Perspective” highlighted the importance of Duty of Care in our daily lives, hinted that only those with the divine will from God will give care unto others. He also reminded us that our evidence of care must reflect in our parents, neighbors, place of work, less privileged and through our journey in life.”
Always remember that the precondition for having a sound sleep is for your neighbours not to stay awake at night.” He noted.
The NTA, Ibadan Network zonal director Dr Waheed Popoola, in his goodwill message, also advised the public to show care unto our neighbors irrespective of their tribes or creed.
He emphasised that the people around us form our first point of contact at all times, so we should endeavour to show love and care to them, as stated in the Holly Quran.
Other dignitaries present who shared their goodwill messages include: the Iyaloja of Ibadanland, Alhaja Iswat Oyinlola Ameringun; Chief Imam Ibadan North, Alhaji Busari J.P;, the Representative of REC, Representative of the State commandant of Road safety and others.

The well packaged event rounded off with a prayer session for Nigeria and NOA Director General, Mallam Lanre Isaa-Onilu, for all the magnificent improvements he has brought to the agency no sooner than he assumed duty.
The invited Ustas also prayed for peace and tranquillity in the country and for the national progress.
