The member representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency, Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin, has facilitated ICT training for over 60 young constituents as part of his efforts to enhance digital skills among Nigerian youths.
The training aimed to equip beneficiaries with essential ICT skills for self-sustainability and development, contributing to human capital growth in Oyo State is through the National Productivity Centre (NPC), Abuja.
Speaking after presenting brand-new laptops to all participants, Agboworin underscored the importance of ICT training and empowerment, describing it as a significant opportunity for young people to access and contribute to information, knowledge, and technological advancement.

“Bridging the digital divide is one of the key reasons I organized this ICT empowerment program for youths in Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency. I am fully aware that ICT gives unprecedented opportunities to fight poverty. That is why I initiated this training and empowerment program for my constituents,” Agboworin stated.

He further emphasized that ICT can play a crucial role in business development, enabling easier access to information, new markets, healthcare, and education.

The Ibadan-born politician also stressed the need for more youths in his constituency, regardless of their backgrounds, to be empowered in ICT.
“I will not relent in expanding this initiative to include more beneficiaries. I urge the participants to maximize the opportunities in ICT to solve societal challenges and contribute to Nigeria’s development,” he added.
