Prominent Ibadan-born lawyer and Founder/Principal Partner of AOC Solicitors & Attorneys, Bàá’mofin Akinlolu Oyebamiji, has felicitated with Nigerians, particularly his staff, clients, friends and family members, on the occasion of the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
In his Independence Day message, Oyebamiji called for genuine democratic practice as the country prepares for another general election in 2027, stressing the importance of responsible participation and commitment to democratic values.

Akinlolu Oyebamiji noted that Nigeria had passed through various phases in its history but had remained united and resilient in the face of challenges.
According to him, “Nigeria has passed through many phases in history. And yet, we remain indivisible and resilient in making the country a worthwhile one for all. That we remain indivisible is a grace of God, not our perfection, and as such, we must collectively continue to strive for a more prosperous and rewarding Nigeria.”
Oyebamiji said that while Nigeria still had considerable ground to cover at 66, the country continued to show the potential to become a better nation, adding that achieving such a future would require patriotism, resilience, dedication and a collective willingness to make things work.

“At 66, even though we are still crawling, yet, we are showing the tendencies of making a good country. The journey requires our patriotic spirits, resilience, dedication and willingness to get things to work,” he said.
The legal practitioner urged Nigerians to remain committed to the country’s progress and to contribute positively to its development, irrespective of their individual backgrounds or differences.
“I wish Nigeria and Nigerians a Happy 66th Independence Day Anniversary. May God continue to make this country work for everyone. Amen,” he concluded.
