IBARAPA — The All Progressives Congress, APC, 2027 House of Representatives Candidate for Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency, Sarafa Olaoniye, has felicitated Muslim faithful in Ibarapaland and across the country on this year’s Maolud Nabiyy, the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a statement made available by his Media Assistant, Taoreed Adeniran, Olaoniye said the celebration provides another opportunity for sober reflection on the life, teachings and exemplary character of the Holy Prophet, and for Muslims to recommit to the virtues of peace, tolerance, justice and service to humanity.
Olaoniye further described the Prophet’s life as a timeless guide for leadership and community development, values of honesty, compassion and fairness demonstrated. The Prophet remain critical to addressing the social and economic challenges facing Nigeria today.
“Maolud Nabiyy is a call to action for all of us. It reminds us to be just in our dealings, to care for the vulnerable, and to work together for the progress of our communities. As we celebrate, let us also offer prayers for our nation and for our leaders to be guided by wisdom,” Olaoniye was quoted as saying.
The APC candidate urged constituents in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North to use the period to pray for unity, security and prosperity in Ibarapa land and across the country. He stressed that Nigeria’s diversity is its greatest asset and must be protected through mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.
Olaoniye also called on political office holders at all levels to govern with the fear of Allah and with sincere commitment to the welfare of the people. He acknowledged the current economic difficulties affecting many households and urged government to prioritize job creation, support for farmers and small businesses, and policies that will ease the burden on families.
“As we mark this blessed day, we must remember those who have little or nothing. The true spirit of Maolud is in sharing, in reaching out to widows, orphans and the less privileged around us,” he said.
He commended religious leaders, traditional rulers and community heads in Ibarapa Central and North for their roles in promoting harmony at the grassroots. He also appreciated security agencies for ensuring a peaceful atmosphere during the festivities and urged residents to remain vigilant and law-abiding.
Olaoniye prayed that Allah accepts the prayers, supplications and acts of charity of all Muslims during this period. He expressed hope that the blessings of Maolud Nabiyy will bring renewed hope, good health and prosperity to every home in Ibarapa and Nigeria.
He concluded by wishing all Muslim brothers and sisters in Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency a peaceful and joyous Maolud Nabiyy celebration.
