Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, management has concluded plans to host the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE; the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade; the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Olusegun Olayiwola; and other top dignitaries at its 3rd Foundation Day anniversary and NCE graduation ceremony scheduled for Tuesday.
The event will also feature the graduation ceremony for the 2005–2025 graduates of the Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo, formerly known as Oyo State College of Education.

Confirming the attendance of the dignitaries, the Vice-Chancellor of EAUED, Oyo, Prof. Olanrewaju Olaniyan, said the institution is fully prepared for the twin events—the 3rd Foundation Day and the graduation ceremony for graduands of the College of Education that transformed into a university between 2005 and 2025.

Olaniyan stated that the history of the institution dates back decades, beginning as St. Andrew’s College of Education (SACOED), later becoming Oyo State College of Education (OYSCOED), Emmanuel Alayande College of Education (EACOED), and eventually Emmanuel Alayande University of Education (EAUED), Oyo.
According to him, “We are celebrating our 3rd Foundation Day following the establishment of the university with the mandate of nurturing great minds for the education sector and producing high-level manpower for society through effective teaching. We are also conducting a graduation ceremony for the graduates of the defunct Emmanuel Alayande College of Education between 2005 and 2025.”
The Vice-Chancellor further encouraged members of the university community, former NCE students, graduates, and the general public to grace the two significant events.
