Less than 24 hours after supporting the APC Media Team with a ₦12.5 million donation, the Honourable Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, continued his outreach across Oyo State with another gesture of support — a ₦18 million donation to the APC Oke Ogun Zone 2.

The Minister made the donation during a consultative visit to party stakeholders on Saturday at Parapo City Hall, Saki, where he met with leaders, supporters, and community representatives from the six local government areas of the zone — Saki East, Saki West, Atisbo, Olorunsogo, Irepo, and Orelope. Earlier, Adelabu and his team paid a courtesy visit to the highly respected APC leader in the Zone, Alhaji Ajibade at his residence in Saki where all the notable party leaders recieved him in a closed door meeting before proceeding to meet other party stakeholders from all the six local government areas at Saki Town Hall.

In his address, Chief Adelabu emphasized the importance of genuine reconciliation, unity, and internal democracy ahead of the forthcoming party congress. He commended party members for their steadfast support and commitment to building a stronger and more united APC in Oyo State.

“I sincerely appreciate all stakeholders for their dedication to uniting our great party. If we truly want to win and lead effectively, we must embrace internal democracy. No candidate should be imposed in the coming congress — the process must be credible, transparent, and fair,” he stated.

He further clarified that no aspirant would be imposed from Abuja, urging all potential candidates to present their credentials and visions to party members.

“Let every aspirant come forward and sell their ideas. Let the people decide based on merit and performance. Show us what you have done and what you stand for,” he added.

Chief Adelabu also reaffirmed his unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, calling on the people of Oke Ogun to rally behind the President’s administration.

“President Tinubu deserves our full support. This is our time — our opportunity as Yoruba people to complete our rightful eight years in power. Let’s unite and deliver for our leader,” he declared.

Addressing local concerns, the Minister assured residents of improved electricity supply in Saki and neighboring communities.

“I am fully aware of the power challenges facing this region. We are already working on sustainable solutions that will bring lasting stability and improvement to electricity supply in Oke Ogun,” he promised.

During the visit, Chief Adelabu also reaffirmed his intention to contest for the Oyo State governorship seat in 2027 under the APC.

“Oke Ogun Zone 2 is with us, and I am confident that with unity and truth, victory is certain. If given the mandate, I will lead Oyo State with integrity, vision, and accountability,” he said.

The event concluded with the presentation of a ₦18 million cash donation to delegates across the zone. This follows his earlier ₦12.5 million donation to the APC Media Team on Friday, where he also urged members to continue promoting peace, unity, and cohesion within the party.
