An Ibadan-born businessman and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Rtd. Captain Akinola Kazeem, has felicitated with the Olubadan-designate, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Sen.) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja (ARUSA I), on the occasion of his 81st birthday.
Akinola, who is also a hopeful for the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency seat in 2027, described the life journey of the new Olubadan as a clear testament of God’s grace. “Our Kabiesi is an embodiment of grace and highly favored by God in every step of his life,” he said.
Akinola while reflecting on the significance of the forthcoming coronation, noted that the ascension of Oba Ladoja to the throne of his forebears would usher in development, progress, and peace not only for Ibadanland but for Yorubaland and Nigeria at large.
He further described the monarch as a nationalist, democrat, and astute administrator who has left indelible footprints as a former Senator, Governor, and industrialist. It is important to note that, according to him, “Such rare qualities in a single monarch are a strong signal of a transformational reign by God’s grace”.
As Ibadan prepares for the historic coronation, Akinola prayed for the continued good health of Oba Ladoja, wishing him a long, peaceful reign and more fruitful years to lead Ibadan sons, daughters, and well-wishers to a greater and more prosperous future.
