ROTARY CLUBS — As part of their contribution to the voluntary blood donation drive in Nigeria, Rotary Clubs in Oyo have jointly extended their hand of fellowship to the South West headquarters of the National Blood Service Agency (NBSA) as the world marks World Blood Donor Day.
The presentation, held at the zonal headquarters of the agency in Ibadan during the celebration of World Blood Donor Day, featured the donation of materials and incentives commonly used in blood donation drives.


Leading the Rotary Clubs, the Zone 1 Coordinator, Special Committee on Blood Projects, Rotarian Kemi Akinpelu, alongside other Rotary presidents and members present for the presentation.

Receiving the donated items, the Zonal Director of the Agency, Dr. Oladapo Aworanti, cheerfully thanked the Rotary Clubs for their usual and continuous support for the agency over the years.

According to him, “Rotary Clubs in Oyo State have been one of our greatest supporters and sponsors in a series of our programmes and interventions for blood donation drives in the South West and Nigeria as a whole.”

The event was graced with a sensitisation rally marking the celebration of the 2025 World Blood Donor Day, as well as voluntary blood donations by Rotary members.
