The University of Ilorin yesterday rolled out the drums as it marked its 50th Anniversary Alumni Colloquium Day and Award Presentation; an event that turned into a proud homecoming for one of its finest products, Distinguished Senator AbdulFatai Buhari, PhD.

Senator Buhari, who chaired the golden anniversary colloquium, was honoured with the prestigious Unilorin Distinguished Alumni Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the growth and continued impact of the Alumni Association. The recognition underscored his years of dedicated service, leadership, and commitment to strengthening the Unilorin legacy.

The ceremony brought together notable alumni and eminent personalities, including former Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency AbdulFatai Ahmed, and the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole. The atmosphere was filled with nostalgia as the dignitaries shared memories of their days on the “Better By Far” campus.
