The week long Digital Marketing Skills for Renewed Hope Employment and Wealth Creation programme came to a successful close today at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan, with a graduation and presentation ceremony that reflected a strong commitment to youth empowerment.
The training began with intensive virtual sessions before progressing into practical, hands on classes, equipping participants with in demand digital marketing skills tailored for today’s economy.

At the grand finale, 70 beneficiaries received brand new HP laptops and stipends to kickstart their journey into the digital space. The initiative was facilitated by Distinguished Senator Buhari AbdulFatai Ph.D Omotayo Ishola in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, National Information Technology Development Agency, and NVIDIA.

Present at the event were Hon. Dapo Lam Adesina, Mr Akeem Abbas, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Oyo State Council, Mr Johnson representing NITDA, alongside other dignitaries who joined in presenting the laptops and financial support to the excited beneficiaries.
The final day featured a forward looking session on Artificial Intelligence, where participants were introduced to how AI is transforming marketing, communication, business operations, and income generation. The atmosphere was electric as beneficiaries engaged with practical insights designed to position them for remote work, freelancing, and entrepreneurship.
Addressing the graduates, the Senator emphasised that the laptops and stipends marked a beginning, not an end. He urged them to deploy the tools productively for personal advancement and national development.
In an emotional moment, participants presented a large framed appreciation gift to the Senator in recognition of his visionary leadership and consistent investment in human capital development.
The initiative adds to the Senator’s record of facilitating federal job placements for over 400 Oyo State graduates between 2019 and 2025, including another set in January 2026, reinforcing his reputation as a results driven leader.
The programme aligns with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose administration continues to prioritise innovation, digital inclusion, and economic empowerment.
For many young people in Oyo State, this intervention was more than a training.
It was access.
It was opportunity.
It was activation.
