Dr. Olamide Junaid, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and 2027 House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, has congratulated the former First Lady of Oyo State, Her Excellency, Chief (Mrs.) Dr. Florence Ajimobi, on her nomination as an Ambassador by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

Dr. Junaid described the nomination as a well-deserved recognition of Mrs. Ajimobi’s contributions to peacebuilding, national development, and humanitarian service before, during, and after her tenure as First Lady of Oyo State.

According to her, “Mummy is distinguished and truly deserving of this ambassadorial nomination to a yet-to-be-announced posting, pending the Senate’s approval of her nomination alongside 31 other career and non-career ambassadors. For those of us who have been looking up to her and relating with her, we understand her commitment to the progress of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. She is cerebral, intelligent, diplomatic, and endowed with a remarkable level of native intelligence that drives results for the good of society.”

While anticipating the Senate’s confirmation, Dr. Junaid expressed joy and her congratulations to “our mummy and the matriarch of the Ajimobi dynasty, who continues to uphold the ideals of democracy and progressive politics in Oyo State and Nigeria.”
