OYO — House of Representatives candidate for Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency, Hon. Sarafa Olaito Olaoniye, has congratulated Sen. Sarafadeen Alli on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State for the 2027 election.
Olaoniye, in a statement issued by his media aide, Taoreed Adeniran, said the outcome of Thursday’s primary reflected the will of party members across the 33 local government areas of the state.
He described the peaceful conduct of the exercise and Alli’s overwhelming support as evidence of the APC’s commitment to internal democracy and credible electoral processes.
“The senator’s track record in the National Assembly and his grassroots engagement earned him the trust and confidence of stakeholders across the state,” Olaoniye said.

He called on other aspirants and their supporters to rally behind Alli, stressing that unity remains crucial to the APC’s chances of reclaiming Oyo State in 2027.
“The primary is over. Our focus now is delivering Oyo State to the APC. I pledge the support of my structure in Ibarapa Central/North to ensure victory,” he noted.
Olaoniye also urged party members to intensify voter education and encourage supporters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), noting that electoral success would depend largely on effective grassroots mobilisation.
He commended the APC leadership for providing a level playing field for all aspirants, adding that the transparent process had further strengthened confidence in the party.
Olaoniye prayed for wisdom, strength, and guidance for Alli as he leads the party into the 2027 governorship contest, expressing optimism that the APC would restore hope and good governance to Oyo State.
