On Monday, 10th March, 2025  the NOA, Oyo team were at National Museum of Unity on Advocacy visit to renew partnership and collaboration for promotion of nation unity and patriotism. The visit also coincides with the celebration of The 2025 International Women’s Day at the museum.

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Oyo State has honoured Mrs. Oriyomi Pamela Otuka, the Curator of the National Museum of Unity in Ibadan, as the 2025 International Women’s Day Icon. This recognition is a testament to her excellence in public service and her unwavering impact on nation-building.

The honour was presented by Dr. Olukemi Afolayan, the Director of NOA in Oyo State, during the International Women’s Day celebration held at the National Museum of Unity in Alalubosa GRA, Ibadan. Dr. Afolayan praised Mrs. Otuka’s contributions to public service, social impact, and her relentless efforts in protecting and preserving Nigeria’s cultural heritage.

Mrs. Otuka, in her acceptance speech, expressed gratitude to the NOA for the recognition and acknowledged the efforts of her staff and partners in achieving the museum’s goals. She also emphasized the importance of preserving Nigeria’s cultural heritage and promoting national unity.

The Oyo NOA boss, in her address, also celebrate other women present at the occasion she encouraged them to strive for the top and called for acceleration of actions that will bridge gender gaps.

The state director, joined by other management staff, presented the national flag to the curator to symbolise her contributions to nation-building.

 

The National Museum of Unity in Ibadan is an ethnographic museum established to preserve the cultural heritage of Nigeria’s different ethnic groups . Mrs. Otuka has been instrumental in rebranding the museum and promoting its activities, earning her the respect and admiration of stakeholders and the NOA.
