The Muslim Community of Oyo State has applauded the recent cabinet reshuffle effected on Monday, January 5, by His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE, the Executive Governor of Oyo State.
In the new cabinet, Professor Musibau Babatunde, formerly the Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, was elevated to the position of Secretary to the State Government.
According to the press statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Alh. Ishaq Kunle Sanni and the Secretary-general, Alh. Murisiku Abidemi Siyanbade, “Professor Musibau Babatunde is a seasoned expert in energy economics, international economics and macroeconomics. A complete gentleman, he proved his mettle during his tenure as Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning.”

“His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde, being a very observant leader, must have seen all the qualities embedded in Professor Musibau Babatunde, which eventually culminated in his advancement to the enviable position of Secretary to the Oyo State Government, a round peg in a round hole.”

The community prayed for more grace for the new SSG in the discharge of his duties, In shaa Llaah.
