Oyo Commissioner, Wasiu Olatunbosun Commends Tinubu, Makinde on Safe Release of Oriire Abductees

OYO STATE CULTURE AND TOURISM COMMISSIONER COMMENDS GOVERNOR MAKINDE ON SAFE RELEASE OF ORIIRE ABDUCTEES

The Oyo State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, has congratulated and commended the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on the successful rescue and safe release of the victims who were recently abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of the state.

Dr. Olatubosun described the development as a welcome relief to the affected families, the people of Oriire Local Government, residents of Oyo State and Nigeria at large, noting that the cooperation between the state government, under the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde and the federal government led by president Bola Tinubu, which led to the successful rescue of the abductees is commendable.

The Commissioner also applauded the courage and resilience of the combined security personnel whose professionalism led to the safe return of the victims.

According to him, the successful operation further strengthens public confidence in the state’s security architecture.

He noted that peace and security remain indispensable to the growth of all sectors stressing that Oyo State will continue to thrive as a preferred destination for tourism and business under a secure and stable environment.

Dr. Olatubosun urged residents of the state to remain vigilant, cooperate with security agencies by providing credible information and continue to support theh government’s efforts towards sustaining peace across all communities.

He also appreciate all religious leaders especially the traditional worshippers for their prayers and steadfastness throughout the unfortunate incident.

The Commissioner reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to supporting initiatives that promote unity, peaceful coexistence and the positive image of Oyo State, while praying that such unfortunate incidents become a thing of the past.
