Olubadan’s Pioneer Chairmanship of Oyo Council of Obas and Chiefs Commendable — Ibadan North Reps Aspirant, Dr. Olamide Junaid

A House of Representatives aspirant in Ibadan North Federal Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Olamide Junaid, has commended the appointment of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Sen.) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, ARUSA I, as the pioneer Chairman of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs under the newly amended Chiefs Law of the state.

Dr. Junaid described the appointment as a welcome and timely development, noting that it reflects the evolving and increasingly complex nature of the traditional institution in Oyo State.

In a congratulatory statement made available to journalists, the Ibadan North Reps aspirant said the elevation of the Olubadan to chair the council would strengthen unity, order, and progressive reforms within the traditional system.

“Olubadan’s appointment as the pioneer Chairman under the newly reviewed Chiefs Law is a positive development for the people of Ibadan and Oyo State at large. Oyo State remains a pacesetter, consistently setting commendable standards for others to emulate,” she said.

According to her, the amended law is designed solely to reposition the traditional institution for transformation, stability, and development, in line with contemporary realities.

Dr. Junaid further expressed strong confidence in the leadership capacity, experience, and wisdom of Oba Rasidi Ladoja, stating that his tenure would help drive meaningful reforms and establish enduring standards for traditional governance in the state.

She wished the Olubadan a successful and impactful chairmanship, praying for wisdom and good health as he leads the council in advancing the interest of Oyo State’s traditional institutions.
