Prominent Ibadan-born lawyer and Founder/Principal Partner of AOC Solicitors & Attorneys, Akinlolu Oyebamiji, has expressed immense joy on the installation and coronation of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Akanmu Ladoja (ARUSA I).
In his coronation statement, Oyebamiji described the event as historic for both Ibadanland and the Yoruba nation.
“There is no doubt about the historic significance of the ascension of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Ladoja. It is an occurrence that will take a long time to match in the history of traditional institutions in Nigeria.”
He further noted that “His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ladoja, is ascending the throne as a former senator, former governor, and an accomplished business mogul — a rare combination in the history of traditional institutions in Nigeria.”
According to him, Ibadan sons and daughters are delighted to have Oba Adewolu Ladoja as their new monarch, adding that prayers are with the Olubadan for a long, peaceful, and prosperous reign that will usher in greater development for Ibadanland and the Yoruba nation.
“I congratulate all Ibadan sons and daughters on welcoming our new King,” he concluded.
