Within the few months following his enthronement, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Senator) Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, has continued to restore the lost glory of the Ibadan traditional institution through purposeful leadership rooted in dialogue, unity, and inclusiveness.
It is evident, without equivocation, that Ibadan has been blessed with a monarch who places the growth, development, and well-being of Ibadanland and its indigenes above all else. Kabiyesi’s reign has been marked by a renewed focus on wealth creation, environmental sustainability, and communal harmony.
Demonstrating firm discipline and moral authority, Oba Ladoja has consistently issued stern warnings to Mogajis and heads of families, cautioning them against land grabbing and any actions capable of tarnishing the image and integrity of their lineages and Ibadanland at large. This decisive stance underscores his commitment to justice, order, and responsible leadership.
The conduct, expressions, and actions of Kabiyesi clearly reflect a deep-seated spirit of transformation and repositioning, aimed at ensuring that Ibadan retains its dignity as the City of the First while standing tall among great cities across Nigeria and beyond.

Equally commendable is Oba Ladoja’s cordial relationship with other traditional rulers. His diplomatic engagements have strengthened socio-cultural ties and fostered economic cooperation, reinforcing Ibadan’s historical relevance and contemporary greatness wherever he represents the ancient city.
Kabiyesi has openly described the Olubadan throne as both tedious and onerous, emphasizing that his ambition is to ensure that Ibadan and its people experience prosperity, peace, and progress throughout his reign. His actions affirm that the throne is not merely ceremonial but a constituted authority empowered to identify societal challenges, proffer solutions, and facilitate infrastructure and amenities that improve the quality of life of the people.
