The Oyo State Government revealed that the event organizer did not involve the state government in planning, which may have contributed to the tragedy.

Ara Foundation urges event organizers to prioritize safety and collaborate with relevant authorities to prevent such incidents in the future. They also call on the government to review and enforce stricter safety regulations for public events.

“Ara Foundation stands in solidarity with the affected families and the people of Oyo State during this difficult time,” Princess Adedoja added.
