Hon. Wale Afolabi (Dosmart) was endorsed on May 6, 2026, following a selection process conducted by ward and local government executives of the party ahead of the forthcoming Osun State House of Assembly election.
Barely hours after the endorsement of Hon. Wale Afolabi, popularly known as Dosmart, as the consensus candidate for the Orolu/Irepodun State House of Assembly seat under the platform of the ACCORD Party, one of the frontline aspirants in the contest, Ajani Rasheed popularly known as BIBIRE, has publicly congratulated the party’s chosen candidate.
In a statement personally signed by Ajani Rasheed (BIBIRE), the aspirant described the emergence of Dosmart as a victory for democracy and party unity, noting that every democratic process must produce a winner.
He also commended the leadership of the party, particularly the party Chairman of ACCORD in Orolu Local Government, Hon. Basiru Azeez, and other stakeholders who played significant roles in the peaceful conduct of the selection exercise.
Ajani Rasheed expressed appreciation to his supporters, campaign organization, family members, delegates, and numerous groups within and outside Orolu/Irepodun State Constituency who supported his aspiration and shared in his vision for the development of the constituency.

According to him, although he did not emerge as the party’s candidate, the support and goodwill received from the people remained a major victory for his political movement.
The aspirant further reaffirmed his commitment to the unity of the party ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State, stressing that ACCORD remains the best political platform for the future of the state.
Ajani Rasheed also pledged his loyalty to the Memorandum of Understanding signed by all aspirants at the Olufon Palace on April 20, 2026, assuring party members that he would fully support the candidacy of Hon. Wale Afolabi (Dosmart) during the electioneering campaign.
Political observers within the constituency have described the swift congratulatory message as a strong signal of unity and sportsmanship within the party, especially at a time when political contests often create division among party faithful.
