A Chieftain of the All Progressives’ Congress in Oyo State, Barrister Akeem Agbaje has mourned the passing of Alhaji Haruna Maiyasin Katsina, Sarkin Sasa Sardaunan Yamma.
In his condolence message released by his media office, Agbaje described the late Chairman Council of Arewa Traditional Rulers in the 17 Southern States of Nigeria as a remarkable leader who combined spiritual and political leadership roles to great effect.

“Alhaji Haruna Maiyasin Katsina, Sarkin Sasa Sardaunan Yamma was a remarkable leader who enjoyed unique longevity and devoted his life to the service to the people and humanity.
“As a political and spiritual leader of note whose impactful influence transcended several the entire Southern states, Alhaji Haruna Maiyasin Katsina lived a pious life and as a man of peace, he devoted his life preaching peace. His valuable counsel and impactful leadership will be sorely missed but we take solace in his legacies.”
The APC chieftain prayed for the repose of his soul.
“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.”
