0

A Sociopolitical and Pressure group called The Progressive Ideologues has challenged the federal lawmaker representing Ibarapa Central/North federal constituency, Hon Adepoju Anthony to come out with valid evidences to prove claims he made during his midterm account of stewardship of two years in office as federal representative, stating that he facilitated several job opportunities for about 160 constituents at the Federal Ministry.

In a press statement signed by the Chairman, Comrade Hamzat Ismail and the Secretary, Comrade Quadri Adetona, the group confirmed that they carried some simple research and observed that the claims are untrue, grossly exaggerated and lacking in substance.

According to The Progressive Ideologues, Hon Adepoju Anthony through his media aide should publish a list of only 70 individuals who have secured employment through his support within the week. The list should include names, positions, relevant details, and most importantly the immediate towns or communities of origin within Ibarapa to ease the collation and facilitate verification.

The statement further ascertain that this exercise is necessary because Hon Adepoju Anthony’s midterm report of facilitating job opportunities for over 160 constituents have raised questions about the validity and transparency of his efforts and this will serve as an opportunity to validate such claims and demonstrate his commitment to the people of Ibarapa.

To the attention of Hon. Adepoju Anthony, Representative of Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency,

The Progressive Ideologues (TPI) came to be aware of your midterm account of stewardship after two years in office, where you claimed to have facilitated job opportunities for about or over 160 constituents at the Federal Ministry. However, our scrutiny suggests that these claims are exaggerated and lack substance. As a result, we are writing to challenge the validity of these claims and seek transparency.

“I knew of 3 people from Ayete, 3 in Tapa, 7 in Igangan, 8 in Idere and 13 in Igboora, that is, totalling 35 throughout the 5 towns constituting the Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency, I am believing they can only vouch for about 45-47 appointments at most until they prove otherwise” expressed a member.

In light of this, The Progressive Ideologues challenges you to provide a list of at least 70 individuals who have secured employment through your efforts. This list should include names, positions, relevant details, and most importantly the immediate towns or communities of origin within Ibarapa to ease the collation and facilitate verification.

The challenge stands as follows: just like stated above, provide a list of 70 individuals gainfully employed through your facilitation, including names, positions, relevant details, and specific towns or communities within Ibarapa. “We urge your Media Aide to provide the list within any convenient time range, within the week”. This is an opportunity to validate your claims and demonstrate your commitment to the people of Ibarapa.

The Progressive Ideologues is concerned about the welfare and development of the constituents. We believe that our representatives should prioritize the needs of the people and be accountable for their actions. Your claims of facilitating job opportunities for about or over 160 constituents have raised questions about the validity and transparency of your efforts. Transparency and accountability are crucial in public service, and we expect nothing less from our representatives. We are confident that this challenge will help to clarify the validity of your claims. As public servants, it is essential to be truthful and transparent in our dealings.

“We expect your Media Aide to provide the list of individuals employed through your facilitation within the specified timeframe by extension take your time to collate the list before the end of the week, including the specific towns or communities of origin. If the list is not forthcoming or lacks substance, it will raise further questions about the validity of your claims”

In conclusion, The Progressive Ideologues believes that transparency and accountability are essential in public service. This challenge is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your commitment to the people of Ibarapa and validate your claims. We looks forward to your response and hopes that you will take this opportunity to showcase your dedication to our constituents.
