The first Jumu’ah prayer of the newly installed Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja ARUSA I, at the Oja’aba Central Mosque, Mapo Hill, Ibadan, on Friday, attracted prominent dignitaries and political leaders across the state.
Among those in attendance were former Senate Leader, Senator Teslim Folarin, third term Oyo North Senator, AbdulFatai Buhari, Oyo South Sen. Sarafa Ali, former Senator Soji Akanbi, CCII President-General, Barr. Niyi Ajewole, Alh. Shinna Alabi, and Alh. Yisa Arisekola who joined thousands of worshippers to honor the new monarch.
Oba Ladoja, who was crowned as the 44th Olubadan exactly a week ago at Mapo Hill, expressed gratitude to the Ibadan Muslim community through the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Alhaji Abdul-Ganiyy Abubakar Agbotomokekere, for the support he has received since his ascension to the throne.

The coronation had earlier drawn global and national attention with the presence of President Bola Tinubu GCFR, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Minister of Power Chief Adebayo Adelabu, FIRS Chairman Dr. Zacch Adedeji, state governors, and other top dignitaries, under the hostship of Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
The Oja’aba Mosque, filled beyond capacity for the Friday prayer, reflected the depth of love and acceptance the new Olubadan enjoys among the people of Ibadanland.
