As Muslims across the world celebrate Eid el Maulud, chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and aspirant for Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, Hon. Akinola Kazeem Akinjide, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful and Nigerians.
In his goodwill message, Akinola urged Nigerians to remain committed to the “Nigeria project,” stressing that the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) emphasize responsible citizenship and leadership.
According to him, “Both leaders and followers are responsible for each other, and the results of our collective responsibilities are what will make the country more comfortable and conducive for all.”
He further noted that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) taught that being responsible citizens is an act of worship, adding that participation in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise should be seen as part of that responsibility. “I call on Nigerians to view the CVR exercise as a form of worship and responsibility to God by registering for their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) and encouraging others to do the same,” Akinola said.

The House of Representatives hopeful emphasized that the possession of the PVC remains the only instrument through which citizens can enthrone good leadership and drive meaningful development.
He also appealed to relevant authorities and stakeholders to ensure the PVC registration process is seamless and accessible, thereby encouraging more people to join the registration queue.
He wished all happy Eid el Maulud celebrations.
