A new book memoir the life and times of the late industrialist and philanthropist, Aare AbdulAzeez Arisekola Alao, is set to be unveiled soon.

For many who followed the socio-political and economic history of Ibadan in the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s, the name Arisekola Alao remains one of the most prominent names to hear. He was widely respected as a businessman, Islamic leader, and influential figure across politics, religion, and commerce, Arisekola left an indelible mark on Ibadan, the Yoruba nation, and Nigeria at large, and still unmatched by any till this moment.

Born on February 14, 1945, Arisekola rose to national prominence not only through business but also through philanthropy, with countless testimonies of lives he touched directly in Ibadan and beyond. Despite his towering legacy, many note that comprehensive literature celebrating his contributions has remained scarce since his passing, which is not affording the present crop of generations to know who Arisekola was during his lifetime and reign.
