The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has tentatively concluded plans to conduct its nationwide congresses beginning from February 2, 2026, with the party’s National Convention slated for March 25 to 28, 2026.
According to a draft schedule of activities sighted by DailyNewsNG, the proposed timetable is in line with the provisions of Article 11 (i–xiii) and Article 17(i) of the APC Constitution and covers congresses at the ward, local government, state, zonal and national levels for the election of party officials.

The document indicates that activities will commence with the membership e-registration exercise, scheduled to run from December 1, 2025 to January 30, 2026, ongoing.
The notice of congresses to state and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapters is fixed for Monday, February 2, 2026, while the purchase and submission of forms for ward and local government congresses will take place between February 4 and February 9, 2026.
Screening committees for ward and LGA congresses are to be inaugurated on February 10, followed by the screening of aspirants from February 11 to 13. The inauguration of ward and LGA congresses, including appeal committees, is scheduled for February 14, 2026.
Ward congresses will hold on February 18, with appeals arising from the exercise slated for February 19. This will be followed by local government congresses on February 20, during which three delegates—one of whom must be female—will be elected to the National Convention. Appeals from the LGA congresses are expected on February 21, 2026.
At the state level, the purchase of forms for state executive positions will run from February 23 to 27, 2026, while screening and appeal committees will be inaugurated on February 28. Screening of aspirants for state executive offices is scheduled for March 2 to 4, with appeals fixed for March 5 and 6.
State congresses are billed for Saturday, March 7, 2026, while appeals arising from the congresses will be entertained between March 9 and March 11.
The document further reveals that the purchase and submission of forms for zonal congresses and the national convention will take place from March 12 to 17, while screening committees for the zonal and national convention will be inaugurated on March 18. Screening of aspirants is expected to hold from March 19 to 20.

Zonal congresses across the six geopolitical zones will be conducted on Saturday, March 21, 2026, with venues listed as Ibadan (South West), Enugu (South East), Rivers/Cross River (South South), Kaduna (North West), Gombe/Bauchi (North East), and Nasarawa (North Central).
Appeals arising from the zonal congresses are scheduled for March 23, while the party’s National Convention, the climax of the exercise, will hold from Wednesday, March 25 to Saturday, March 28, 2026.
Party sources noted that although the document remains a draft, it reflects the APC leadership’s roadmap towards internal reorganisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
