APC Chieftain, Akinola Felicitates NRS Chairman, Zacch Adedeji, PhD, on Birthday

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and House of Representatives hopeful for Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, Hon. Akinola Kazeem Akinola, has felicitated with the Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Dr. Zacch Adedeji, on the occasion of his birthday.

Akinola described the Ogbomoso-born finance and tax expert as one of Nigeria’s great blessings, commending his leadership at the NRS and his commitment to widening, sustaining, and strengthening the nation’s tax system. He noted that the recently introduced tax laws proposed by the administration and assented to by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which took effect on January 1, 2026, reflect Adedeji’s forward-thinking approach to fiscal governance.

According to him, the new tax framework is designed to promote responsible tax compliance without placing undue burden on the poor and the general populace, while also supporting sustainable national development.
“These laws will encourage responsible taxpayers without exerting unnecessary pressure on the masses, while also aiding multiple facets of national development,” Akinola stated.

He further noted that, beyond his statutory responsibilities, Dr. Adedeji has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to human and capacity development, particularly among young people, as part of efforts to safeguard the future of the nation and the states from which these talents emerge.

“At 48, Dr. Adedeji has distinguished himself in public service as a servant-leader. I wish him many more fruitful years, renewed strength, and continued wisdom as he contributes to building a self-sustaining and productive Nigeria for all,” Akinola concluded.
