An Islamic organisation in the tourism sector, Al Maruff Oluyole Hajj & Umrah, has honoured a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator AbdulFatai Buhari, representing Oyo North Senatorial District and a gubernatorial aspirant, during the commissioning of its new mosque and office complex in Ibadan.
The event, which was well attended by notable dignitaries and Islamic scholars, recognised Senator Buhari as “a beacon of true representation, a versatile leader, and a man committed to the progress of Oyo State.”
In his special remark, Sheikh Muhyiddin Salman, the Chief Imam of Offa, lauded the lawmaker’s track record, describing him as “one of the few leaders whose kind we must continually pray to have in positions of authority.”

Senator Buhari, in his remarks, rekindled the spirit of unity among leaders and stakeholders from Oyo North Senatorial District, as he was seen exchanging warm pleasantries with some of his colleagues, including the incumbent lawmaker representing Iseyin/Kajola/Itesiwaju Federal Constituency, and former House of Representatives member, Hon. Shina Peller, among others.
While appreciating the founder of Al Maruff Oluyole Hajj & Umrah Tours Limited, Alhaji Maruff Opatola, Senator Buhari urged him to continue upholding integrity, transparency, and trust in the Hajj and Umrah sector, noting that such values are essential to sustaining the agency’s credibility and ensuring a seamless pilgrimage experience for its clients.
Other dignitaries present at the event included the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdul-Ganiy Agbotomokekere, Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency aspirant, Rt. Captain Akinola Kazeem, Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency, and several others.
