Lawmaker representing Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency, Hon. Olafisoye Wasiu Akinmoyede, has announced a new round of strategic empowerment for over 300 constituents.
The empowerment program, which will be held on Wednesday, November 19th, 2025, is set to provide Point-of-Sale (POS) training and cash empowerment for 300 constituents in the Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency. Each beneficiary will receive a POS machine along with a start-up capital of Two Hundred Thousand Naira (₦200,000) to support their new businesses.
The event will take place at the Faith Joe Event Centre, located beside Community Secondary School, Alegongo, Ibadan, and will commence at 9:00 AM.
Hon. Akinmoyede, who is popularly known as Hon. Lafi, shared this announcement with journalists in Ibadan, stating that this initiative is part of his broader commitment to uplifting the economic base of his constituency. The empowerment aims to provide constituents with viable means of livelihood, boosting local economies, and ensuring social security in the region.
This program follows a series of successful initiatives led by the lawmaker, including the recent empowerment of over 3,000 students with ₦100 million, as well as the distribution of ₦650 million to 600 constituents through various life-transforming programs.
In his remarks, Hon. Akinmoyede emphasized that these efforts are geared toward ensuring that constituents are not only economically empowered but also equipped with skills that will contribute to the overall security and stability of their communities.
