Religious leaders emphasise PVC collection as supporters seek divine guidance for political success
Political stakeholders and supporters from Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency in Oyo State, Ibadan, have held a special interfaith prayer session for (Rtd.) Captain Hon. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola, founder of the AKA Foundation, as preparations intensify for the 2027 General Elections.
The prayer gathering, which attracted key members of the constituency’s, volunteers and political structure, featured prominent religious leaders, including Chief Imam Abdulhamid Wasiu of Alakia Central Mosque and Pastor Adediran, alongside their respective entourages. The session was organised to seek divine guidance and blessings to ensure that the political aspirations, developmental vision, and humanitarian efforts of Hon. Akinjide translate into tangible and impactful outcomes.

During the event, both religious leaders offered prayers for Hon. Akinjide, his family, supporters, and the overall peace and progress of Egbeda and Ona-Ara Federal Constituency. They assured attendees that the constituency is poised for a new dawn, driven by the leadership qualities, experience, and people-centred approach attributed to the aspirant.


Beyond the spiritual engagement, the Imam and Pastor used the platform to encourage residents and supporters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), describing the PVC as a vital tool for civic participation and a decisive factor in determining the outcome of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on behalf of the volunteer structure, Oyekola Monsur (Topman) expressed appreciation to the religious leaders for honouring the gathering with their presence and prayers. He noted that the support has further strengthened the resolve and commitment of members of the AKA Volunteer Group, adding that the initiative symbolises hope for a positive political transformation within the constituency.
The prayer session further reinforced the growing grassroots support for Hon. Akinjide Kazeem Akinola, whose political ambition continues to gain momentum across Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency as the 2027 general elections draw closer.
