Lawmaker representing Ibadan North East and South East Federal Constituency, Hon. Adigun Abass Agboworin, has added to his feather of empowerments by empowering 200 youths, women and special persons of his federal constituency in Ibadan.
The empowerment program, in partnership with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Oyo State unit, trained beneficiaries on soap, toilet disinfectant, and liquid bleach production, aiming to take more people out of poverty and boost the country’s production capacity.
Abass Agboworin, speaking at the event, thanked his constituents for their unwavering support for his impactful representation. He further solicited for more support for Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Emphasizing his continuous efforts in creating livelihoods through empowerment, Hon. Agboworin said, “We will continue to look for opportunities to train our people and make them economically useful to their respective societies.”

The State Director of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Mrs. Steve-Ogundipe Olayinka commended Agboworin’s efforts, stating, “I give kudos to Hon. Agboworin for his continuous efforts in empowering his constituents with proper capacity development.

“The beneficiaries of the Soap, Toilet Disinfectant, and Liquid Bleach Production program should make better use of the opportunity of startup equipments and cash for their own advantages and self-sustainability.”
The First Lady of Oyo State, Her Excellency Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, graced the occasion and extolled Hon. Agboworin for his continuous efforts in touching the lives of Ibadan North East and South East Federal Constituency residents.
According to her, “Empowering 100 youths and women, 100 special persons, and more is a very good initiative for the economic development of Oyo State. Hon. Agboworin has a record of impactful empowerment initiatives, and they are all encouraging ones.”
The empowerment program included training and equipping 100 youths and women with mixer machines, gas burners, cylinders, and N50,000 startup grants for those trained on soap, toilet disinfectant, and liquid bleach production. Additionally, special persons were empowered with 100 tricycle wheelchairs, 20 crutches, and 10 walkers.
