Senator Sharafadeen Alli, a governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has taken his consultation to the Pacesetter Support Group (PSG), an independent association of professionals and intellectuals, during a courtesy visit in Ibadan.
The meeting, which centered on the future of Oyo State, dwelt on local government financial autonomy, improved healthcare delivery, infrastructural development, education, environmental sanitation, effective utilization of career officers and stronger grassroots governance.


Alli, who was accompanied by his entourage, used the engagement to stress the need for aggressive voter mobilisation across the nooks and crannies of Oyo State. He also called for collaboration with other support groups and reconciliation among party stakeholders.
The APC aspirant outlined concerns over land grabbing, contract administration and the state of education, urging accountable leadership and effective project delivery.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the Supreme Court’s pronouncement on local government financial autonomy, describing it as significant to strengthening grassroots administration.
In its response, the PSG reaffirmed its commitment to engaging political stakeholders on governance, institutional reforms and sustainable development in Oyo State.
In a related development, Mogaji Olaide Adeoye has congratulated the Pacesetter Support Group (PSG) for a successful deliberation, describing the engagement with Sen. Sharafadeen Alli as a step toward issue-based politics and sustainable development in Oyo State.

The engagement is seen as part of early political realignments within the Oyo APC, as aspirants intensify consultations ahead of the governorship contest. For Alli, the PSG platform offers access to professionals and intellectuals whose influence could shape grassroots mobilisation and policy conversations.
