IGBO-ORA – The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Sarafa Olaoniye, has felicitated with the people of Igbo-Ora and the entire Ibarapa land on the occasion of the grand finale of this year’s World Twins Festival.
This was contained in a congratulatory message issued in Igbo-Ora on Saturday and made available to newsmen through his Media Assistant, Taoreed Adeniran.

Olaoniye described the annual festival as a unique cultural identity that has placed Igbo-Ora and Ibarapaland on the world map for positive reasons.
He said, “Igbo-Ora, globally recognised as the Twins Capital of the World, has continued to sustain a heritage that commands international respect and admiration.”
“This festival is beyond the celebration of twins. It symbolises unity, fruitfulness, and the resilience of our people in Ibarapa,” he added.
Olaoniye noted that Igbo-Ora remains one of the most important towns in the federal constituency, blessed with rich history and warm, hardworking people.
He commended the Olu of Igbo-Ora, Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye, the Traditional Council, and the Twins Festival Organising Committee for keeping the tradition alive and making it bigger every year.
He also lauded sons and daughters of Igboora at home and in the diaspora who returned home to celebrate the festival and contribute to the development of the town.
According to him, “The impressive turnout this year is a clear demonstration of love for culture and communal unity, which Igbo-Ora is known for.”
The House of Representatives hopeful stated that culture remains a veritable tool for tourism, economic growth, and youth empowerment if properly harnessed.
He said, “When elected, I will work with relevant stakeholders to promote the World Twins Festival to attract global tourism investment and bring federal attention to Ibarapaland.”
Olaoniye stressed that his agenda for Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North includes cultural preservation, tourism development, and creating more opportunities for the younger generation.
He urged the people of Igbo-Ora to continue to live in peace and uphold the values that make the town exceptional in Africa.
He added, “We must continue to promote peace and togetherness, because that is the only way we can achieve the Ibarapa of our dreams.”
He prayed for sustained peace, progress, and prosperity of Igboora, Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa North, and Oyo State at large.
“I wish all twins, parents of twins, and all visitors a happy and memorable celebration,” Olaoniye stated.
He called on all constituents to remain united and hopeful as the constituency moves towards a brighter and more prosperous future.
